LaSalle County board forwards $62,000 salary recommendation for school health services to committee

The LaSalle County board voted to forward a recommendation to the Salary and Labor committee to set Carol’s School Health Services salary at $62,000.

The motion was made, seconded and carried after a roll call in which Doug Stockley recorded a yes vote and Ron Blue recorded a no vote; other members voted or were recorded as in favor and the chair declared the motion passed. The recommendation will be considered by the Salary and Labor committee before any final action.

The board also moved to accept Carol’s report and to forward her reappointment as director of School Health Services to the Committee on Appointments, Legislation and Rules. Those procedural referrals were approved without a separate roll call.

Board members discussed the procedural steps required to complete the personnel actions but did not debate the salary amount at length during the meeting. No legal authorities or statutory citations were offered during the exchange.
