Planning board recommends Jessica Parr for appointment to a vacant seat

The Wareham Planning Board voted June 8 to recommend Jessica Parr to the appointing authority to fill a vacant planning board seat for a three-year term starting July 1, 2026.

Board members said Parr had participated on the zoning bylaw subcommittee and attended recent planning board meetings. Several members noted she currently serves on the Conservation Commission and will resign that seat before being sworn in to avoid dual-service conflicts; the appointing authority will make the formal appointment and the town clerk will administer the oath.

Chair members asked staff to forward a recommended motion to the appointing authority and to coordinate timing so Parr can be sworn after she resigns her Conservation Commission post.

The board's recommendation passed unanimously.
