The Immigration Canyon Planning Commission on June 11 reviewed two draft ordinance actions and voted to forward recommendations to the city council with editorial and reference corrections.
The commission examined a proposed Chapter 19.03 to establish development agreements. Commissioners asked staff to add the ordinance title where it appears in the draft and to correct formatting so cross-references match the municipality's existing code style. After discussion the commission moved to recommend approval of Chapter 19.03 to the council with those formatting adjustments; the motion passed unanimously.
The commission also considered a repeal and replacement of Chapter 19.84 (conditional uses). Commissioners identified several formatting and subsection-reference errors and asked staff to supply corrected references before the council review. The commission voted to recommend approval with the requested reformatting and reference checks; the motion carried with one vocal opposition.
Commissioners emphasized that the city attorney and municipal code staff would receive the suggested word-smithing and that staff would return a cleaner, consistent draft for council consideration. The commission left the public hearings formally open or noted the absence of public speakers where appropriate and recorded the recommendations for transmittal to the council.
