Assistant Director Adam Fan told the commission staff had been approached by developers interested in parcels at Woodland Crossing and elsewhere and reviewed several operational items at the mixed-use site.
Fan reported staff had secured a lease at Woodland Crossing with assistance from Marketplace Realty and asked the commission to allocate $36,654.32 from rental revenues to pay the broker's commission; commissioners approved the allocation by voice vote.
Separately, staff requested authority to issue an RFP to furnish city office space at Woodland Crossing (furniture, fixtures and equipment), to be funded from the consolidated south TIF 2026 budget; the commission approved issuing the RFP and authorizing officers to execute related documents.
Staff also described an access agreement proposed for a recurring Woodland Crossing food-truck and retail event organized by Ashley Spencer, planned for alternating Sundays (roughly July'October, noon p.m.) to activate the site and showcase the area for prospective tenants. The agreement assigns event organization, cleanup, marketing and (if needed) permitting to the organizer and allows limited use of on-site electric service; commissioners approved the access agreement.
The actions are intended to support tenanting, programming and activation at Woodland Crossing while staff completes furnishing and leasing work.
