The Lee County Board of Education approved its consent agenda on June 11, unanimously adopting minutes from prior meetings, approving the personnel agenda and accepting a package of administrative items including insurance renewals and equipment surplus requests.
Superintendent Robert Truit summarized items in the packet and recommended approval. The board approved a GSBA risk-management renewal for property, liability and fleet coverage with a renewal amount of $358,419 for the next school year, and an additional cyber-risk policy with a $250,000 limit costing $11,240. The consent agenda also included permission to surplus remaining pre-K classroom furniture and accessories that were replaced through a grant.
The motions to approve the minutes, the April financial report and the consent agenda carried by unanimous voice votes.
