At the June 8 meeting the Plan Commission handled a set of smaller, separate items:
- The commission approved an architectural variance to allow a detached accessory building with metal siding and roof materials at N128 W16824 Holy Hill Road. The motion carried by voice vote.
- The commission approved a sign permit to replace a storm‑damaged pylon with a code‑compliant 15‑foot, two‑sided internally illuminated monument sign (11x11 face) to serve existing tenants including Grand Appliance and Barbecue Grills of Wisconsin.
- The commission approved a zoning permit for Katon Harrison to install a 6‑foot cedar privacy fence that encroaches into a public drainage easement on Amber Drive. Staff explained the code permits an encroachment when the commission determines it will not materially interfere with drainage flow and may require an engineer’s report. Commissioners and staff visited the site and described the easement as a deep swale or canyon; based on site observations the prevailing finding was that the proposed fence would not obstruct design‑storm flows, and the commission approved the encroachment subject to the standard conditions in the packet.
These administrative approvals passed without substantial public controversy.
