She explained that federal and state grant funds can temporarily show negative balances because the district expends funds first and requests reimbursement later.
In superintendent and trustee reports, members noted progress on the public safety center and Fire Station 3 expansion, described listening sessions for an early‑childhood education center, and noted Lummel Park restroom work targeted for June 30. A trustee announced a resignation effective July 31, citing relocation outside district boundaries and reflecting on 12 years of service, three referendums and multiple capital projects during their tenure.
