At the May 15 meeting, Circleville officials postponed a school district request for a larger water meter and approved a resident’s purchase of a larger meter for seasonal needs. The Piute County School District told the council its contractor recommends a 4‑inch meter for the school and athletic fields, but council members said the town’s billing structure does not include a 4‑inch meter and agreed to consider the request further on June 10, 2026.
Separately, Scott Dalton asked to replace two existing 1‑inch meters with a single 2‑inch meter to support cooling of turkeys during hot weather. The council declined to exchange existing meters under current policy but approved the purchase of a new 2‑inch meter; Lindsie Dalton, the new Town Clerk, will prepare an invoice. Shirl Fox moved to approve Scott Dalton’s request; the motion passed unanimously.
Council did not adopt any changes to the water‑meter billing schedule at the meeting and instead scheduled further review for the June 10 meeting.
