The Fairview Planning Commission approved a site development plan on June 9 that will allow Fair View Town Center LLC to construct five live‑work units in a single building on Track 6 of the City Center development.
City planning staff reported that the submitted plan covers 0.94 acres and includes required parking, stormwater infrastructure, landscaping and water and wastewater connections. Staff said the plan meets standards set out in the approved master development plan and the previous zoning ordinance’s Section 10‑203.5, and recommended approval with the conditions listed in Resolution PC 20‑26. "Staff does present to the planning commission that this is in substantial compliance with the approved master development plan," staff said during the presentation.
Eric Olson, representing the applicant and giving his address for the record, offered to answer questions; commissioners had no substantive technical questions about the design. The commission called the vote and the motion to approve the site plan passed.
The approval is subject to the conditions included in the resolution and the applicant’s continued compliance with any remaining staff comments. The planning commission’s recommendation implements the city’s master plan for the City Center area but does not change zoning; any broader modifications to development policy would require separate action by the Board of Commissioners.
The planning commission moved on to other agenda items after congratulating the applicant; staff will monitor the project as it proceeds through permitting and inspections.
