The Readington Township Board of Education recognized dozens of students, ensembles and coaches for music and athletic achievements during its regular meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Hart announced that the Readington Township School District was named one of the 2026 "Best Communities for Music Education"; he read a congratulatory letter from U.S. Representative Tom Kaine praising the district's commitment to music access. District teachers and directors helped present CJMEA honors band and orchestra recognitions for Holland Brook and Remington Middle School students.
Coaches and staff also celebrated athletic successes. The RMS softball B team finished the season 12–2 and won the championship; the coach highlighted season statistics and individual contributions and said the title was historic for the school. The boys cross-country team completed an undefeated regular season and several athletes set personal records at the regional meet.
Student representatives delivered a spring-sports update for girls lacrosse, baseball and track, noting player development, leadership growth and several personal records in track and field events.
What happens next: the district will continue to roll out smartboard installations funded by the recent referendum and will proceed with planned playground and facilities improvements tied to the district's communications and referendum work.
