Daviess County commissioners on June 9 approved multiple infrastructure and advisory contracts, including a consulting agreement for preliminary engineering on Bridge 95 and the construction plans for Bridge 176 on County Road 700 East.
Highway staff said the Lock Miller Group will perform LPA consultant work on Bridge 95 in Raglesville; INDOT must review and approve the contract and associated funding before it is executed. Commissioners were also presented with the final construction plans for Bridge 176, a full replacement of an older rail‑car bridge that failed inspection, and signed the plans for the county record.
Later in the meeting the board authorized Baker Tilly to continue providing TIF (tax increment financing) advisory services at the hourly rates described in the packet. Commissioners noted they have generally received good service from the firm and approved retaining Baker Tilly.
Each motion was approved by voice vote (motions recorded as passing 3-0). Staff said INDOT approval is required for the LPA contract and will be sought as part of normal project administration.
