The Eagle Grove City Council met Jan. 19 and approved its consent agenda, which included the Jan. 5, 2026 minutes and the claims list, by roll-call vote of all members present.
The consent agenda encompassed routine vendor and payroll items; the claims list included a $42,405.00 payment to Eagle Monument Co. and the payroll fund transfer of $111,309.94 reflected in the packet. City Administrator Davis presented fund balances and December revenue totals across major funds.
The council adopted Resolution 2026-08 to modify a council meeting date and time to Feb. 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote of all members present. The council also adopted Resolution 2026-09 authorizing a pay adjustment for a Grade IV Operator; that resolution likewise passed by roll-call vote of all members present.
Council members approved two workstation upgrades with additional security services and set-up fees from RDI following a motion by Council Member Weland, seconded by Middleton. The council also approved adopting the IRS mileage reimbursement rate listed in the meeting record as $0.725 per mile (expressed in the transcript as “$0.725 cents per mile” and corrected here to $0.725 per mile). The council voted to table the Aquatic Center slide-restoration quote and asked staff to pursue a new quote to remove the drop slide instead; that motion carried by roll-call vote of the members present.
