County staff used the clerk’s report at the June 8 meeting to announce several community items for Carroll County residents.
The clerk said the intersection of State Route 171 and Avalon Road (County Road 20) will become a four‑way stop one week after the meeting; the location has been marked and the county shared the change on its Facebook page. A commissioner added that the four‑way stop resulted from a study by the Ohio Department of Transportation and that the county’s role is notification to the public rather than origin of the study.
The Carroll County Humane Society and Dr. Judith Childers will host a rabies clinic at Malver Park on June 17 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.; the clinic will serve dogs, cats and ferrets. The clerk said animals must be leashed or caged and not pregnant; the fee is $10 payable by cash or check.
The Carroll Masonic Lodge Youth Fishing Derby is scheduled for June 20 at Camp Oders Gate from noon to 4:00 p.m.; the clerk said hamburgers and hot dogs will be served and the event details were posted on the county Facebook page.
These items were presented as announcements during the clerk’s report and did not require board action.
