Price awarded Healthy Utah Community designation; annual board training set for June 8

Price has been named a Healthy Utah Community, the Price City Library Board was told at its May 11 meeting. The minutes say the award will be presented at the May 13 Price City Council meeting.

Board members were also notified that a representative from the Utah State Library will visit on June 8 at 1:00 p.m. to conduct the required annual board training. The minutes state the training is mandatory for all members and that the monthly meeting will occur immediately following the training session.

The board approved routine items earlier in the meeting, including minutes and monthly program reports and statistics. No public comments were recorded. Several board members — including Jason Olsen, Steve Hardman and Kassidy Hansen — plan to attend the May 13 city council meeting to present an update on library activities.
