The Village of Jackson Board of Review elected President Hecondorf as chair and selected John Shenik as vice chair during its June 5, 2026 meeting.
Nominations were made from the floor and seconded; a voice vote was taken and the board recorded the motion as carrying. The board then moved to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2025 Board of Review meeting by motion, which also passed on a voice vote.
The board confirmed required public notices and postings were made and that at least one member had completed mandatory Board of Review training for 2026. Pam confirmed that notices were posted March 27, 2026, at the post office, municipal complex, Jackson community center and on the village website, and that the village has an ordinance on file (Village of Jackson code, section 4020) protecting the confidentiality of income and expense reports submitted to the assessor under Wisconsin Statute 70.43.
The meeting proceeded into routine business after the leadership elections; members later moved to recess until approximately 4:00 p.m. to allow time to review the tax roll. The motion to recess was made by Wolf and seconded by Hecondorf and carried by voice vote.
Next steps: the board recessed to reconvene at the stated time to review the assessment roll; no formal objections were heard at this session.
