The Huron Valley Schools Board of Education dedicated the Huron Valley Schools Administrative Service Center on Dec. 8, 2025, and unveiled a plaque honoring Dr. Nancy Karate for her decades of service to the district, a district representative said.
The district representative said the new center "represents growth, progress, and thoughtful planning for the future of our school community," adding that "this is about more than simply moving into a different space. It's about creating a place that reflects the pride that we have in our school district" and that visitors should immediately see "the professionalism, the care, and the commitment that define our schools." The representative tied the move to the district's strategic plan and said consolidating offices will reduce the district's overall footprint while allowing staff to focus on students.
During remarks the presenter said the facility will help the district "continue to attract the best and brightest talent" by providing a professional workplace. They also announced a dedication plaque reading, in part, that the Huron Valley Schools Administrative Service Center is dedicated in honor of Dr. Nancy Karate "in recognition of your decades of service, leadership, and commitment to Huron Valley Schools in our community." The presenter noted the dedication was made "by the act of the board of education, December 8th, 2025."
At the close of remarks the presenter proposed a slight change to the district mission wording for the day, modifying "inspiring and building futures one student at a time" to read "inspiring and building futures one student and one staff member at a time."
No formal votes or policy decisions were recorded in the transcript beyond the board's act to dedicate the center. The event focused on the dedication, anticipated benefits for staff and visitors, and recognition of Dr. Nancy Karate's service.
