Mayor Ben Klinger called the City of Goodview’s special council meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. on Dec. 29, 2025, and the council recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Present were Mayor Ben Klinger and Councilmembers Dick Ledebuhr, Charlie Andring, Sandra Ramirez and Cassie Gilliam; City Administrator Dan Matejka and Director of Public Works Dave Schultz also attended.
At 8:01 a.m. Councilmember Cassie Gilliam moved and Councilmember Charlie Andring seconded a motion to close the regular meeting and go into a closed session under Minn. Stat. 13D.05, subd. 3(c) to "develop or consider offers or counteroffers" for the sale of the property currently housing The Bar at 4054 West 6th Street, parcel ID #24.125.0860. The motion passed with all voting aye and the regular meeting was closed.
The closed session convened at Goodview City Hall with the mayor, the five councilmembers, the city administrator and the director of public works in attendance. The stated purpose of the closed session was to consider an offer to sell the property at 4054 West 6th Street.
Councilmember Charlie Andring moved and Councilmember Sandra Ramirez seconded a motion to close the closed session and reopen the regular meeting at 9:10 a.m.; the motion carried with all voting aye. Councilmember Sandra Ramirez then moved and Councilmember Cassie Gilliam seconded a motion to adjourn; all voted aye and the meeting was adjourned at 9:11 a.m.
No votes on ordinances, contracts or final sale terms were recorded in the public minutes. The minutes include signature lines for the mayor and city administrator.
