Board will post recorded meetings to county website after link confusion; council liaison to change next year

Technical confusion over calendar invites prompted the board to tidy meeting logistics and confirm that meetings will be recorded and posted to the county website.

Several members and the auditor reported joining a different virtual room; S7 (auditor) and others recommended cleaning up calendar invites. "It opened another meeting... when I clicked on the link you provided, it brought me right in," S7 said describing the problem.

The chair (S1) told members the board’s meetings "are now being recorded and will be put on the county website for the, probably to comply with the Open Public Meetings Act," so residents can watch archived meetings.

Jane Fuller (S6) identified herself as the San Juan County council liaison to the advisory board and announced she will not seek re-election; the council will assign a new Lopez Island liaison at the start of next year. The board asked members to copy both the chair and vice chair on important correspondence to ensure continuity while the chair manages additional responsibilities.

Next steps: Sally (staff) was asked to clean up meeting invites, the vice chair will be copied on correspondence, and the board will continue recording meetings and posting them to the county site.
