Trustees questioned a child nutrition vehicle purchase ($41,821 for a Ford Mustang Mach‑E) and were told supervisors travel among multiple sites and require cargo capacity; staff explained the vehicle choice was driven by state bid availability and the need for a consistent fleet. Several trustees asked about cost‑effectiveness and vehicle sizing and were given programmatic justification.

Trustees also discussed and approved a consultant agreement to provide ice cream as a parent‑engagement incentive for 17 schools that had Parent Advisory Committee representation. The superintendent explained the vendor is a former student entrepreneur and the sites chosen reflected schools that attended the advisory meeting; PTAs would administer distribution.
