Commissioners adopt Resolution 2026-09 designating polling places and ballot drop kiosks; election office address corrected

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners on March 18 adopted Resolution 2026-09 designating polling places and secure ballot drop kiosks for upcoming elections and naming the Lincoln County Election Office as the official place of deposit for absentee ballots under Montana law.

The resolution lists polling locations by precinct (Eureka, Troy, Libby) and establishes secure 24/7 drop kiosks in Libby (Sheriff’s Office), Troy (Police Department lobby), and Eureka (dispatch). The county election official attending the meeting asked that the office address be corrected in the resolution to 418 Mineral Avenue (transcribed earlier as 415 Mineral); the board made that correction on the record before the vote.

The resolution notes the drop kiosks will be available continuously until election day and closed on election day, and that voters may return ballots to the election office during normal business hours and official election hours as permitted by Montana law. The resolution was moved, seconded, and adopted by voice vote.
