Designers presented final environmental-graphics updates and the committee approved placement changes for the athletic Hall of Fame. The design lead said the flexible display area had been moved closer to the gym entrance and split into two parts to improve visibility.
"It's split into 2 pieces now, and it fits nicely between the 2 display cases," the presenter said; committee members approved the layout and directed school staff to confirm all content for the cases.
Committee members then debated which plaques to retain in the entrance vestibule. One member argued against mounting an old building dedication plaque in the new building and recommended restoring and placing the Korean War memorial plaque there with an explanatory blurb describing the three individuals memorialized. Members agreed the memorial plaque should be cleaned and accompanied by a small explanatory panel, and that the historical society chair and school staff would be consulted on the final wording.
On communications, the committee agreed not to circulate draft site plans publicly; they will share final plans with Woodville school staff for distribution to parents and respond briefly to parental inquiries now with a fuller communication when plans are finalized. The chair asked Chris and administrative staff to coordinate responses.
What happens next: designers will finalize Hall of Fame content templates and school staff will confirm display items; project staff will prepare a short parent reply now and a fuller community notice when the final plan is ready.
