The Goshen Cemetery Board approved the minutes for the prior meeting by voice vote after the chair noted a minor delay in delivering copies. The motion was moved and seconded and approved without objection.
Staff (Bert, S2) reported that Memorial Day ceremonies at Oak Ridge and other cemeteries were well attended and credited staff, including Katie and the summer crew of six seasonal hires, for successful events. The report listed recent equipment acquisitions: an F-250 pickup replacing a Ranger with over 100,000 miles and two new Grasshopper mowers to replace high-hour units; S2 said the department keeps three mowers at Oak Ridge, three at Violet and two at West Goshen.
S2 also described planned exterior renovations to the Oak Ridge shop (roof, siding, trim, doors) and a new concrete entry pad to improve operations. The board discussed maintenance priorities and spring cleanup timing; staff said the first full week of April is the annual spring cleanup when seasonal decorations and silk flowers are removed from certain sections.
The meeting closed following a moved, seconded and approved motion to adjourn.
