Town Manager David Porter provided several operational updates during his report to the Board of Selectmen.
He said the Town Assessor is completing the grand list at the end of January and will report on property-value distinctions between commercial and residential parcels at a future meeting. Porter summarized three ARPA-funded projects in Town Hall—an office wall in Gail Scranton’s office, a counter and window for the tax office, and hallway and entry flooring work—that remain to be completed.
Regarding the N. Main Street LOTCIP grant, Porter described roadway directives: on the Sadlers stretch a 5-foot concrete island level with pavement, 2-foot shoulders and 10-foot travel lanes; Pettengill to Old Cider Mill will not feature an island but will have 10-foot lanes and 2-foot shoulders. Drainage repairs are planned at the North Main/Lafayette and North Main/Ofshay intersections.
Porter also briefed the board on automatic traffic enforcement device statistics as previously requested and said he needs to finalize outstanding items with the communications-tower contractor; he noted AT&T has expressed interest in the tower.
