At its June meeting the Webster Groves Architectural Review Board approved four residential projects, imposing minor conditions on some applications.
444 Park Road: The applicant presented an addition with a first-floor master and garage extension. Board members praised the design; with no public comment the board moved to approve the project as submitted. The motion carried with one recorded opposition.
638 Fair View Avenue: Homeowner Nolan explained the front-porch adjustment and rear addition. Board members approved the project with the understanding that a railing or guard may be required where the porch floor drops to the planting bed/drive; the board asked the applicant to show the railing on a future plan if code requires it.
5 Rockill Road: An applicant representative, Nathan Ra, spoke for an owner on vacation. Members welcomed rehabilitation of the property and, despite stylistic concerns about enclosing an older carport, voted to approve the project so the work can proceed.
447 Landscape Court: Representatives from Donna Box’s office confirmed the plans. The board approved the new-build on the condition that a window be added to bedroom two (the location and size to be determined by the applicant) and that garage windows shown in elevations also appear on the plan set. The board authorized the applicant to finalize the window’s placement with the builder.
Votes and next steps: Each approved item moved forward; projects with required revisions must submit updated drawings where noted to be part of the administrative record before construction permits are issued.
