The PL County Planning Commission on June 4 approved several routine items, including the May 21 minutes and the evening agenda (which was amended to include two final plats). Commissioners approved a massage operator’s license for Island Wellness Massage LLC to relocate to 120 North Bair Road and provide mobile massage services.
Staff presented final plats for Highland Lakes West Section 2, a roughly 43.12-acre parcel off Williamview Parkway proposed for 92 lots in an R2 single-residential zone, and Rights Farm Section 4, about 14.2 acres off Reynolds Road planned as a planned unit development for 23 lots. In each case staff recommended approval, a commissioner moved and seconded, and the motions carried by voice/raise of hands.
Chair reminded the public that the planning commission is a recommending body and that rezoning and variance requests from tonight will be forwarded to the Columbia County Board of Commissioners for final action (the chair cited the board’s June 16, 2026 meeting as the next opportunity for final action). Individuals wishing to address the board were directed to see Miss Mixon for a request-to-speak form and scheduling information.
All routine approvals on tonight’s consent-track agenda were passed without recorded roll-call tallies in the meeting transcript; the minutes and agenda item approvals, the massage license and the two final plats will be reflected in commission records and transmitted as required for subsequent county action.
