The Delaware County Board of Commissioners handled routine administrative business on June 4, approving minutes and multiple consent resolutions before addressing a substantive annexation item.
The board approved Resolution 26‑378 to accept the electronic record of the June 1 meeting and Resolution 26‑379 to approve purchase orders and certificate amendments in Warrington batch CMBBR0601. The board also acknowledged two separate annexation petitions (Resolutions 26‑380 and 26‑381) concerning 43.362 acres and 58.558 acres in Delaware Township.
John Melvin, director of facilities, presented a list of county vehicles declared obsolete and recommended internet auction or disposal; commissioners discussed vehicle ages and low mileage on some units and approved Resolution 26‑382 to declare the property obsolete and authorize sale. Commissioners also approved Resolution 26‑383, a cash lease with Dawson Farms Incorporated for county farmland at Vixby Parkway and Botown Road; staff said leasing to the adjacent farmer keeps the ground in agricultural use while under county ownership.
Each of these consent items was moved, seconded and recorded with affirmative votes from the present commissioners (Mrs. Lewis and Mr. Benton). Absent commissioner Gary Merrell did not vote. No executive session was called and administrative reports followed, including brief remarks about local school construction and a business ribbon cutting.
