The New Whiteland Town Council heard a review of three sealed quotes for the INI project addressing priority sewer-line deficiencies in the Rain Tree and Tracy Ridge neighborhoods. Staff said the work addresses priority-one issues identified through CCTV inspection, including piping infiltration and structural cracking.
Matt presented the quotes: Inliner Solutions at $211,848; SAK Construction at $180,176; and a third vendor listed at $235,952. The design and CCTV inspection work are complete, and engineers will perform the procurement review and return to council with a recommendation in July. The council noted the procurement threshold under the town’s rules for projects below $300,000 and that the work will be completed in phases as budget permits.
Staff said the expected benefits include reduced infiltration to the lift station (which had pumps running many hours during heavy rain) and incremental repairs over multiple budget cycles rather than a single large outlay. Council members asked whether the repairs would relieve upstream infiltration and were told the fixes should reduce unnecessary flows to the plant but that some larger priority-two items will be addressed in later years.
