Commission approves routine contract amendment, short-term lease extension and consent items

Davis County commissioners approved several routine consent and business items on June 2, including a facilities contract amendment, a short-term lease extension for a counseling tenant, a shooting range receivable and a property tax register item.

Lane Rose presented an amendment to contract 2021‑0080A with Caliber Cleaning Services to cover additional cleaning duties after the retirement of a long‑time employee; staff said the amendment adds $1,600 per month (payment dates stated in the transcript as beginning 6/2/2026 and ending 10/31/2026). A motion to approve the amendment passed by voice vote.

Brian Hatch (Health Department) asked the commission to approve a short extension of the lease with Northern Utah Counseling LLC for additional months; the transcript records a receivable of $7,000 beginning 5/31/2026 and ending 8/30/2026 and the commission approved the amendment by voice vote.

A consent receivable of $600 was approved for paid use of shooting range bays by an instructor/event referred to in the record as "Frank the Tank Shooting." The commission also recessed to the Board of Equalization, approved property tax register item 2026‑2022 (tax register 62206), and reconvened before adjourning.
