The Enterprise City Council voted on several routine and policy items during the June 16 meeting.
Ordinance 051926E, which requires an annual independent cybersecurity assessment of city information systems and establishes independence requirements and budget allocation, was adopted after a motion and voice vote. The council also opened and closed a public hearing for an ABC retail liquor license for Pastella Italian Restaurant at 116 South Main Street and approved the license.
The council filled a vacancy on the Public Building Authority by appointing Richard (Rich) Woodham to seat one for a term ending June 30, 2031. Members also adopted resolution 06226Q designating assistant city clerk Sally Bane as acting interim city clerk for matters related to Ordinance 0521-24C in the absence of the clerk.
The council approved a resolution providing for a one-time lump-sum retirement payment to eligible retirees and beneficiaries under a referenced state act (transcript lists the cost as '30,31' and did not provide a clear total); staff characterized the award as tied to state legislation. Councilors approved the motion and carried it by voice vote.
Consent-agenda items approved by the council included accounts payable and contract billings (accounts payable mention in the packet: $1,124,880.74) and the consent motion carried. Council members also approved changing future meeting locations for specific dates because the civic center will be used as a polling location.
