Council appoints temporary chair to lead June 3 budget workshop

Councilors approved a temporary chair at the start of the June 3 budget workshop so the meeting could proceed in Chair Hall’s absence. A nomination was made for Councilor Beck, a second was offered, and the council completed a roll-call vote with Councilors Carson, Morer, Leonard, Fish, Dean, Walker and Flo recorded as voting yes.

The motion as stated on the floor was for the presiding member to chair the meeting temporarily. The roll call was taken because two members participated remotely; the motion carried and the workshop continued under the temporary chair’s direction.
