At its meeting the Hudsonville Public School District board approved multiple personnel and procedural items presented by administrators.
A recommendation to accept retirements for roughly 18 staff members across elementary, middle and high schools was moved and approved by the board. Ann Armstrong and building principals introduced each retirees service highlights before the board voted to approve retirements "as presented." The motion passed by voice vote.
Jordan Beal presented the districts list of graduates, stating the students had met requirements "as laid out in the handbook and by the Michigan Department of Education." The board moved to certify the graduates for next weeks commencement and approved the certification.
The board also approved the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) 2026-27 budget resolution after a motion and voice vote.
Ann Armstrong presented recommended certified hires including industrial technology and secondary resource teachers, returning staff and several early-career candidates; the board approved the hire recommendations as presented.
Near the meetings end the board moved to enter a closed session to discuss negotiations. The chair called a roll and recorded affirmative votes to go into closed session.
