The Planning & Zoning Committee voted to forward two Board of Adjustment appointment recommendations to the County Board for confirmation.
Jean, the county zoning administrator, explained that the county administrator and chair can appoint members to boards and commissions subject to County Board confirmation under county ordinance and zoning administration chapter 61. The two names on the slate were David Benson (to serve a full term expiring in 2029) and Heidi Robinson (to serve as a second alternate). Staff noted Benson was unable to attend the meeting due to a recent knee replacement but has prior zoning experience. Robinson was present and answered members’ questions about her background.
Committee members moved and seconded to forward the appointment resolutions to the County Board consent agenda; the motion carried.
