Lynn Township supervisors approved a contract for park tree removal and received routine public-works updates at their Oct. 10 meeting.
Vice Chairman Steve I. Feinour moved to accept K & K Tree Specialist’s $1,375 bid for park tree removal after the board reviewed two quotes (Sam Strunk Tree Service quoted $1,350). Chairman Justin N. Smith seconded the motion; the board voted unanimously to award the work to K & K.
Road Master Bruce Raber summarized September activities: hauling aluminum cans and scrap metal from the transfer station, building walking paths at the REC fields, assisting neighboring townships with paving projects, completing a small paving project at the intersection of Blue Jay Road and Route 863, and repairing several road-name signs. Anticipated October work includes pipe installation, filling potholes on dirt roads and beginning tree trimming.
Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Kathy A. Hermany said she has a job number for a dawn-to-dusk light at the dog-park area and is waiting for follow-up from David Wright before the township proceeds.
