The Texas Workforce Commission approved staff recommendations to certify Inspire Tech Inc. as a new community rehabilitation program (CRP) and to re-certify seven existing providers for continued participation in the Purchasing from People with Disabilities program.
Juan Garcia of the Vocational Rehabilitation division presented the item, listing the providers recommended for certification and re-certification: Inspire Tech Inc. (new), A Brother’s Keeper (Arlington), Heart of Texas Goodwill (Waco), HIPP Healthy Innovative Processes (San Antonio), Oak Creek Day Habilitation Vocational Center (Lufkin), Vocational Opportunity Center of Northeast Texas (Mount Pleasant), Work Services Corporation (Wichita Falls), and the Austin State Supported Living Center. "Staff recommends certifying the one new CRP and re-certifying seven existing CRPs," Garcia said.
Commissioners asked no substantive questions and a motion to approve the certifications and re-certifications was seconded and passed unanimously. The approvals allow the named providers to participate in the program and continue providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities under the state purchasing program.
