The Durant Planning Commission continued its review of a proposed code rewrite and asked staff to add several items to the tracking list for future updates.

Taylor, a city building inspector presenting for the absent project lead, said the packet included an initial numbered list of items to keep the rewrite work on the commission's radar and that Paul had been handling most of the work with the rewrite team. No formal action or vote on the rewrite was taken at the meeting.

Drew requested that the tracking list include "curb cuts" and "cross property access for commercial parking lots," asking that those items be specifically added so commissioners receive updates as the committee progresses. Pam said she would ensure commissioners receive updates even when they are not members of the rewrite committee and that she would coordinate distribution of progress reports.

The commission did not set a schedule for final action on the code rewrite; Taylor said staff or the committee would provide updates and bring items back to the commission when ready.
