Taylor County accepts $1.3 million FDOT supplemental funding for McDaniel Road project

Taylor County commissioners voted June 1 to accept a supplemental funding agreement from the Florida Department of Transportation that adds $1.3 million to the McDaniel Road widening and resurfacing project under the Small County Outreach Program.

Staff said county engineer Kenneth Dudley was not present but that the supplemental agreement provides the additional $1.3 million for the project. Commissioners moved to approve a resolution authorizing signature on Supplemental Agreement No. 3 and then approved the agreement; the transcript records the board's approval though it does not include a roll-call tally in the audio record.

The supplemental funds are designated for construction and related costs under the FDOT program. Staff and commissioners discussed motion and resolution language and instructed county staff to complete any necessary signature authorization.
