Commission hears resident complaints about LPA member's social‑media remarks; no removal hearing scheduled

Commissioner Dicki raised resident emails alleging that a Local Planning Agency member posted sarcastic comments on social media about Key Capri residents and their properties. The emails asked the commission to consider removal.

Commissioners agreed that the complaint deserved review but that any disciplinary or removal action would have to follow due process. Staff advised the commission that the member should be given notice, the written allegations should be compiled in the meeting packet and the member should have the opportunity to respond at a scheduled hearing. There was not a majority to place the matter on a hearing calendar during the June 2 meeting.
