At its July 1 meeting the Los Fresnos Community Development Corporation approved several routine items supporting local businesses and park maintenance.
The board unanimously approved minutes from the May 4, 2026 meeting and acknowledged the April 2026 financial report after a presentation from Mr. Milo. Mr. Milo summarized a disbursement journal showing 13 checks totaling about $37,843 and said year-to-date sales-tax receipts are running above budget and above last year in April. He reported overall expenditures of about $482,650 so far and said the budget remains in good shape.
Under grants, a committee recommended and the board approved an interior grant for Eternal Love Healthcare at 33478 FM 803, Suite B2. The committee presented two bids and recommended the low bid of $6,000; the CDC's portion was approved at $3,000.
The board also approved a sign grant for Nikki Slice (315 N. Royal Blvd., Suite 4). With three bids received, the lowest was $2,500; the CDC's share was $1,250 and the board approved that amount unanimously.
The council next approved $8,000 to replace the west-side fence at Community Park, including a central walkthrough gate and a vehicle gate to aid public works and Little League access. Staff said parts of the fence had been removed for a concession stand and that children had been crossing the parking area; the replacement aims to restore a continuous barrier and safer access.
All of the above motions passed unanimously; named movers and seconders were not consistently recorded in the transcript.
