The Lincoln Heights Law & Safety Committee on June 1 heard the Hamilton County Sheriff's monthly report and discussed a recent report of concern involving a deputy.
A lieutenant with the sheriff's office summarized patrol activity for the month, saying the department logged two felony arrests, 11 misdemeanor arrests, seven minor misdemeanor arrests, 17 warrant arrests, one stolen-vehicle recovery and a total of 27 criminal reports. Parking complaints totaled 14; the department recorded about 270 billable calls for service and 179 non-billable calls. "This month was a light month for noncriminal reports," the lieutenant said.
Committee members then followed up on an earlier matter involving Deputy Lawson. Staff reported that someone brought a report of concern to village staff on Thursday, May 28, and that the individual had been redirected to file a formal complaint with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. Village staff told the committee they had not yet received a formal complaint on the village side and that they would follow up and forward any information to the proper channels.
The committee did not take any disciplinary or personnel action at the meeting. Members asked staff to share any additional information as it becomes available and to confirm whether a formal complaint is filed with the county sheriff.
The committee accepted the sheriff's report by motion and carried the acceptance formally at the meeting.
