The Leacock Township Board of Supervisors approved routine consent and administrative items during its Jan. 19 meeting.
On motions and unanimous votes the board approved the Jan. 5, 2026 organizational meeting minutes and the Jan. 6, 2025 meeting minutes; approved the Bills to Pay list; and accepted the Treasurer's Report.
Supervisor Donald Gentzler moved to adopt Resolution #2026-1 for joint bidding with Earl Township/COG; the motion was seconded by Supervisor Carl Smucker and passed unanimously. The board also approved signing the MS4 contract with engineering firm HRG, which the board noted will save about $4,000 compared with a competing offer from Arro Engineering, and approved a retainer with HRG as backup township engineer. The MS4 contract and retainer motions were made and approved with unanimous votes.
The board appointed Nick Detore to the Leacock Township Municipal Authority Board to replace Michael Burnley, who will be moving out of the township; the appointment passed unanimously.
Why it matters: these votes set contracts and administrative leadership that affect routine operations, stormwater compliance (MS4) and future procurement.
Next steps: contracts proceed as authorized and the Municipal Authority will include Nick Detore as the board's appointee.
