Representatives of the Lincoln County FFA updated the school board on a year of expanded outreach and competitive success.
The chapter hosted its fifth annual district greenhand conference for first‑year members from seven schools, ran an education area at the Lincoln County Fair that reached more than 700 children across seven days, and received a national chapter award at the national FFA convention. Chapter members also placed third in the state in food science and fifth in the state in horse judging.
The chapter highlighted individual student achievements, including Knox Rogers being selected as a middle‑Tennessee Star in Agribusiness and a middle‑Tennessee proficiency winner in forestry products. The chapter’s 47th annual tractor day drew 37 tractors to the parade and more than 200 community attendees and received local television coverage.
A chapter representative thanked the board for its support and said members look forward to FFA camp and a new leadership team next year under the theme “to magnify.” The board thanked the students and advisors for the report.
Why it matters
FFA and agricultural education are part of the district’s extracurricular and career‑development offerings; outreach at fairs and recognition at the national level reflect both student engagement and community interest.
