Brown County work session examines alternative bridge methods, BetonBallon proposal and hot patch process

Following the regular meeting, the Brown County commissioners convened a work session from 2:00 to 3:08 p.m. that focused on Road & Bridge operations and project options.

County leaders and staff reviewed the department’s organizational structure, hot patch procedures and possible alternative bridge construction methods and candidate bridges eligible for those methods. The BetonBallon proposal was discussed as one alternative; staff also raised field entrance issues, identification of main haul roads and low-clearance bridge signage as items for future planning. The session included review of Patriotic Banner photos but no votes or motions were recorded.
