Bayshore Gardens board keeps committee lineup, discusses plumbing and electrical work for 2026

At its Jan. 2, 2026 organizational meeting, the Bayshore Gardens Park & Recreation District Board of Trustees announced committee assignments and discussed planned maintenance projects for 2026, including plumbing and electrical work, and strategies to increase resident participation in district activities.

Chair Cori Howell stated the board would keep current committee memberships "as they are until we have a full seated Board." The minutes list committee leads: Budget & Finance (Terry Zimmerly), Communication — Banner & Web (Dan Rawlinson), House & Grounds (Cori Howell), Landscaping (Barbara Susdorf — term ended 12/31/2025), Long Term Planning (Skip Wilhoit), Marina (Eric Talman), Personnel & Salaries (Terry Zimmerly), Policy & Procedures (Dan Rawlinson) and Recreation (Joyce Fisher — term ended 12/31/2025).

Board members discussed a set of facility priorities for 2026, with plumbing and electrical repairs and upgrades called out as work that needs to be done. Trustees also exchanged ideas about increasing resident involvement in community programs and committee meetings; no formal outreach plan or funding amounts were recorded in the minutes.

Chair Howell’s direction to maintain current committees keeps continuity while the board awaits full membership. The meeting adjourned at 2:35 p.m., and the Jan. 2 minutes were later approved and filed in the district office.
