The Chanceford Township Board took several administrative and utility actions at its Feb. 9 meeting.
Solicitor John Wilson reviewed the Letter Agreement and the Road Use & Repair Agreement tied to the PPL EU Transmission Project; Brad Smith moved to ratify both agreements and the board approved the motion unanimously.
The board appointed Christopher Dolly to the Planning Commission (term to December 2030) and appointed Douglas King to fill a remaining Planning Commission vacancy through December 2028; both appointments were approved unanimously.
Representatives from The York Water Company — Matt Scarpato and Suzanne Becker — updated the board on the Chanceford Crossings water treatment plant, saying York Water acquired the facility as of February 2026 and intends to expand and connect it to the Felton plant over two to three years. The company discussed proposed fixed customer rates (York Water proposed $86.90; the board noted the PUC‑approved fixed rate of $50.00 referenced in materials) and said the company could not reach agreement with Red Lion on metered reading arrangements.
Solicitor Wilson also reviewed sample road‑use ordinances for weight limits to be reviewed at a future meeting. Bradley Smith moved to adopt Resolution 2026‑4 amending and revising Zoning Hearing Board fees; the motion carried unanimously. The board approved the Recreation HVAC Project and authorized advertising a bid for the work. The board voted to contract with Penn Waste for the municipal dumpster at $90 per month for three years and approved an update to bank signatories to add Lawrence Hare and remove Eric Bacon. The meeting concluded with unanimous approval of the payment of bills and adjournment at 9:35 p.m.
No votes were recorded as opposed or abstained in the meeting minutes; all motions were recorded as carried unanimously.
