Superintendent Schnieders told the board the district will begin a partnership with Purdue Extension, working with Jen Mayo, to expand the Summer Community Adventures program into grades 7–9 beginning next year. The initiative, referred to in the meeting as "UTO LS," will provide community resources to students and families and bring supports into the school day for homework help and soft‑skill development.
Schnieders thanked Purdue Extension for the partnership and said the program will extend services that previously ended after grade six. "They're a great community partner and it's a pleasure working with them," Schnieders said.
The board received the report as part of the superintendent's update; no formal vote was recorded on the partnership during the public meeting. The superintendent also noted the upcoming graduation date referenced as "the 26th."
