The Cass County Commission on May 20 approved three administrative resolutions and several routine minute approvals.
Resolution 2646 authorized an agreement with Christine Lubert, P.E., doing business as Lubert Engineering, to provide professional assistance for the county's MS4 (municipal separate storm sewer system) permitting program. Valerie, a county staff member, told commissioners the consultant will help the county meet new MS4 requirements, complete annual reports and perform required monitoring. The resolution passed by a 3-0 voice vote.
Resolution 2647, presented on behalf of the Cass County Collector's Office, approved the bid from Capital Land Title Incorporated for the 2026 pre-tax selling search, the first step in the annual tax-sale process used to identify properties two or more years delinquent and to notify lienholders under statute chapter 140. Chris (Collector's Office staff) urged approval; the commission approved the resolution 3-0.
Resolution 2648 authorized payment to Service Tech for camera work at the Health Department to add parking-lot coverage and protect county vehicles and staff parking. Matt (IT/Health Department staff) described the additional camera and recommended using the original installer; the commission approved the payment 3-0.
The commission also approved the agenda, multiple sets of minutes (including May 13 and May 5 work sessions), and then opened and closed public comment with no speakers. The meeting concluded the public portion by moving into executive session under RSMO 610.021.1 (legal).
