City auditor reports unmodified opinion, no findings in Soddy‑Daisy audit

Brian Wright of Johnson, Murphy & Wright, P.C. presented the City of Soddy‑Daisy’s annual audit to the Board and said the audit received “an unmodified opinion,” with no findings on the schedule of findings. Mayor Nunley and City Manager Johnson were commended for the city’s budgeting and fiscal practices.

The auditor told the Board the report reflected that “the City had done well and spent well,” and described the absence of findings as “the cleanest report you can get.” City Manager Johnson and department heads were singled out for their work in producing a budget that matched expenditures to priorities.

The presentation concluded without questions and the Board proceeded to routine approvals and new business. The audit presentation was given at the start of the April 7 meeting.
