School honors students at Jenkins assembly

Paula Adams opened an awards assembly at Jenkins Elementary, thanking teachers, parents and community partners and introducing the student-of-the-quarter recognitions. Mayor Haynes offered brief remarks praising the students for kindness, respect and leadership and urged families to celebrate their achievements. Teachers across grades PreK through sixth described individual recipients’ qualities — including responsibility, resilience, kindness and academic growth — while each student received applause and a certificate. The program concluded with closing remarks encouraging students to keep striving and with music.
