The Topsham Planning Board voted unanimously to extend the approved site plan for Island Green Phase 4D to June 12, 2027.
"Hello, my name is Chris Banger. I'm the site engineer for Island Green," said Chris Banger, who told the board the project had been reapproved last year and requested an extension, asking for six, nine or 12 months depending on ordinance allowances. The board moved and seconded a motion to grant a 12‑month extension and then voted in favor without recorded opposition.
The extension covers the previously approved two‑story, 48‑unit assisted‑living building, the associated 54‑space parking lot and a realignment of Autobach Way connecting Village Drive and Tedford Road (Tax Map R4 lot 17A‑1), as described by staff when the item was introduced. Banger said the reapproval occurred June 12 of the prior year and asked for more time to complete outstanding conditions.
No amendments or conditions were added to the approval on the record at the meeting. The board chair thanked the applicant and the applicant team for attending; staff noted a standard administrative process for issuing the extension.
The extension was moved and seconded; Tim Dunham is recorded as having seconded the motion on the transcript. The board indicated unanimous support; the meeting record did not supply a roll-call vote tally with individual yes/no entries. The project team and the board did not discuss new design changes at this meeting.
Next steps: staff will record the extension and notify the applicant of the new expiration date.
