Theater Nova is presenting The Last Wide Open by Audrey Cefaly, described by presenters as a three‑movement "multiverse rom‑com" that explores alternate versions of two characters' lives and choices. The production runs Fridays through Sundays now through June 14 at the Big Yellow Barn, and audiences can find ticket and schedule information at theatrenova.org.
"This play we're kind of calling it a multiverse rom‑com," a presenter said, noting the production's balance of humor and heart and that it examines everyday decisions and the courage to pursue love.
The program also featured Glorious Taiwan, a performing piece presented by the Michigan Taiwanese American Organization (MITAI). Performers from the Yilan region of Taiwan combined dance and music with projected visual art; a segment noted that MITAI brings paintings to the Ann Arbor library each year and has donated work to local parks and library exhibits.
A speaker connected to Embracing Our Differences — an art and education program that displays banners in Gallup Park and Riverside Park — said that the group works to bring people together and promote understanding through public art.
